Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode’s cabinet for his first term as the state’s governor has been confirmed by the state’s house of assembly.
The Lagos state House of Assembly confirmed all thirty-seven nominees submitted by Governor Ambode for the state’s executive council.
During plenary sitting, the confirmation was done on the basis of a report presented by the 15-man committee headed by Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, the Deputy Speaker of the House,specially put in place to screen the Governor’s nominees.
In the report, the committee chairman said that all nominees were invited and turned up for screening and were verified for a whole week which started from Monday, 5 October to Friday, 9
These final results were sent to the Governor with a comprehensive note written by the clerk of the Lagos state
house of assembly Mr. Segun Abiru attesting that the nominees passed the screening as ordered by Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa
